Hi Chris,

I just wanted to circle back on this to let you know that I did indeed complete a Mt Kenya trip with Impact Adventures in February this year.  Thanks very much again for the recommendation, it was absolutely amazing.

I met Daniel and he sorted all my logistics and the guide was Elijah and cook was Patrick.  They all talked of you fondly.  They truly were professional and created an excellent trip for me.   They are running a good outfit there.

I am also thankful to you for your encouragement to walk Mt Kenya vs Kilimanjaro.  Definitely a good call for my desires – a good tough walk in an interesting environment without the masses.

Thanks again Chris, I just wanted to let you know that Daniel and co are doing fine!

Thanks,

Tim, UK

Hello Daniel,

We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed everything.

First of all we want to say thank you to Francis and Elijah for their company and assistance. Frances’ excellent and Francis was oh so patient driving through the wildest roads we have ever been on , his friendly and polite manner, made the trip enjoyable and safe. Pity though that through his limited English  we could not get to have more personal conversation with him.

Elijah is a very knowledgeable and a good guide, very polite and patient and his wide knowledge of birds and his ability of spotting animals is amazing.

We often tried to invite both of them to get to know their personality a little better, but they would not accept. Company rules?

The accommodation all through the trip was excellent and way better than we ever imagined. Whether it was Millimani Beach Resort, Rondo Retreat, Tunbili Cliff Lodge (my favorite @ lake Baringo – we were the only guests), Lake Nakuru Lodge, Samburu Sopa Lodge, Sweetwater Tented Camp, lake Naivasha Sopa Resort or Amboseli Lodge, all of them were excellent and staff courteous; we felt welcome everywhere and received with a friendly  KARIBU.

The most enjoyable of the organised special visits was the overnight stay at Helen’s place in Tepesua. We learnt a lot about Masai culture, visited the village and met some of the girls from the Rescue centre Helen  founded. What remarkable and valuable work she does for the community!  It was well worth to have a special guide in the Kakamega rain forest.’ Smith’ was excellent and made us listen to all different bird calls.

We enjoyed it all . There was a lot of driving but we knew that. Disappointing is the situation with the dry,- the drought has killed just so many animals in Sambaru and Amboseli. We wish you lots of rain, soon.

Thank you Daniel for organising an interesting and memorable trip and we will not hesitate to recommend your agency to our friends.

We wish you and all of Kenya a change in weather, and an end to the drought.

We regret not having seen you on the last day to thank you for organizing our trip.

Please forward the photos and thanks to Frances and Elijah.

Best wishes and ASANTE sana

Hello Daniel,

What an amazing trip! Everything went perfectly and we had a fantastic time.

Sam is a very careful driver and brilliant guide, and his eyesight to spot animals at distance was incredible! He was extremely patient, making sure we had plenty of time to take photos and watch the animals. We had daily Swahili lessons and even taught him a few Italian words in return!

The lodges were beautiful and the staff are such lovely people with big hearts.

All in all a memorable trip, so a huge thank you for organising it all.

We loved it!

Kind regards

Helene and Vanessa, UK

Daniel, just want to add my appreciation for the wonderful trip you provided. Daniel II and Andrew were both very knowledgeable and very responsive to our comfort and interests as older travelers. A great experience for travelers of any age!  I liked being able to use Andrew’s Masai walking stick climbing the steps to Observation hill and the visit to the Masai village. And who cannot be awed by the close visits with lions and elephants.

I’m sure if you tell visitors about the power expectations, they can pack a small flashlight or battery powered lantern for night time if needed.

I hope Daniel’s daughter is well. He and Andrew handled the switch professionally and very smoothly. Not easy with the time, distance, and road conditions!

Thank you for the trip! It will remain a favorite memory.

Hi Daniel,

I just want to let you know that I really enjoyed my safari. I saw parts of Kenya that I did not know existed. I enjoyed the walk up the canyon in Hell’s gate and the hike up Mt Longonot. I never knew Africa had such rich vegetation as I saw in Tsavo National Park. There was lots of wildlife there as well as Amboseli.

Muli was wonderful. I usually have difficulty in spotting wildlife particularly at a distance. He was both patient and persistant in ensuring that I was able to see the wildlife. He has amazing eyesight. He could see a lion yawning that I could only see with my 10X monocular. He also spotted a millipede in the ditch while he was driving.

Muli made sure everything was taken care of. He also has a great sense of humor and a wealth of knowledge about the areas. It was a very enjoyable trip.

I’m looking forward to my climb up Mt Kilimanjaro tomorrow.

I’d like to thank you for everything you have done.

Dear Daniel,

Nancy and I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our safari with you. It was so much more than a safari as we learned so much about Kenya.

I would be happy to be a contact for a reference for any of your future clients. So feel free to give out my name, email and phone number. We had a fantastic time.

Sincerely,

Annette & Nancy, New York, USA.

Hi Daniel

I really enjoyed the trip to the Maasi Mara, Maji Moto, Naivasha and Hell’s Gate. Jonas and Patrick were lovely people to travel and spend time with and looked after us so well. I do hope they enjoyed it too, even though it was work for them.

I loved Kenya. Met so many lovely people. Saw so much wonderful wildlife and countryside. It was nice to meet up with people who love and care for it too. There are many probelms facing the environment and the wildlife and there is a lot of pressure – that is very apparant. But i really hope that people will work together to continue to look after these precious things and conserve them. They have as much right and are as valid as humans. The environment supports us. In my country we really need a lot more people to understand that!

Thank you

Hi Daniel,

I just returned to the US yesterday after a wonderful adventure in Nairobi and then Tanzania.

I want to thank you for the great service your company provided to us during our day in Nairobi. Your drivers are lovely people, and we managed to fit in all of our destinations with sufficient time to enjoy each one.

I will be happy to recommend your services should I hear of anyone going to Nairobi.

Thank you again, and best of luck,

Fran Price

Dear Daniel,

I wanted to write and thank you on behalf of my husband, daughter & I for organising a wonderful holiday for us in Kenya. We really enjoyed our itinerary and your recommendations were excellent. The arrangements were superb and you had thought of everything in advance. All of the places we stayed and visited were fascinating and our game drives, cycling and walking were brilliant. Our accommodation was very good and we found the staff in the places we stayed to be interesting and helpful. It was particularly helpful that you had let the lodges know about my daughter’s nut allergy and my husband & I being vegetarian. In each place the chef came out to talk to us and had made arrangements for Ellie’s food to be nut-free which gave us great confidence and peace-of-mind.

I cannot praise Muli our tour leader enough. He was superb. He is knowledgeable and capable and dealt with all the arrangements easily and with expertise. Our game drives were wonderful and we benefitted greatly from Muli’s experience and knowledge about the parks and reserves and the wildlife. We felt very safe and well looked after whilst being driven around and staying in our accommodation. Muli was always friendly, cheerful and enthusiastic and we would recommend him highly.

We would happily book through you again and would be pleased to supply a recommendation if that was ever helpful to you or to Muli. Wishing you and Impact Adventure all the best for the future.

Best wishes,

Ian, Lucy & Ellie, UK

….we wanted to take the time to tell you and Francis and Patrick what you have done to make our trip to Kenya fabulous.

We are recommending your company to our friends; telling them how great and abundant the food was and healthy!   How knowledgeable you all were and how kind and considerate you were to us, the wonderful variety of lodging.   We loved the contrast in accommodations.

The thought and time that went into planning your itinerary was evident and appreciated.  We enjoyed the cultural aspect of hiking into villages and sights and interacting with the people.   The cultural and the animal combination of the tour was well balanced because we enjoyed each so much.   In such a short time we learned so much about your country.

We enjoyed it so much that we would like to bring our children and grandchildren back some day.

The only thing we might recommend is to give your clients a little synopsis of what is going to happen the next day the evening before or that day at breakfast so they know what to expect.
You were true gentlemen.
We always felt safe.
The midmorning and midafternoon tea & popcorn were an unexpected delight.
Give our regards to Francis and Patrick!
We hope to see you all again.
Thanks for the wonderful memories.

…..We had a wonderful experience- more fun and adventures than we could have hoped for.  We were very pleased with the arrangements you made, the quality and comfort of the vehicle, and the very high quality service that Jones provided.  He did a terrific job.   He is a safe, excellent driver.   He worked hard to provide courteous, punctual and respectful service,  He was always very professional and kept the vehicle clean inside and out.  He was very responsive to our needs, and was always looking for ways to make our trip more enjoyable or fulfilling.  He has a tremendous network of friends and connections around the country-  we were always amazed to see how he was recognized and welcomed through-out our trip-  visiting with these folks added a lot to our trip as well.  He is extremely knowledgeable about wildlife/natural history, and shared lots of cultural insights with us.  We really appreciated his terrific service and learned a lot from him.

We absolutely LOVED our stays at Maili Saba, Maji Moto and Kibo Safari Camp-  all three were exceptionally nice with personal, attentive service, and they offered unique cultural experiences and insights coupled with very comfortable and beautiful surroundings.   We highly recommend them.  We also enjoyed our stays at Fish Eagle Inn and at Ol Moran-  nice, friendly, comfortable accomodations and good food.    We truly enjoyed the whole trip, but I would say that the Maasai Mara game drives, and our stay with Salaton and the other Maasai at Maji Moto Community Camp were the highlights of our experience.

I would be happy to act as a reference for Jones and/or your firm if you ever need that.  Feel free to share my email address with others if folks have any questions for me.     Thank you for a terrific first visit and experience in Kenya!

……Just wanted to email quick to let you know that things are going well.  The hot air balloon ride this morning was AMAZING, plus we have seen more wildlife than one laptop can hold (seriously, we had to use some flash drives lol!)  Our visit to the Masai Mara village was phenomenal, and we even got a tour of the school from the Headmaster-wow!!  Jones is wonderful, has been able to find us so much wildlife we wanted to see, it’s been awesome-this morning we saw a cheetah with her cub, and this afternoon, we saw 3 leopards with a kill and part of the migration already!!!!  So far, it’s been an AWESOME trip.

……….We enjoyed our trip to Kenya a lot and we have very many good memories of our holiday. One of the highlights and a reason for the success of our trip is certainly our guide Daniel who is very professional, knowledgeable, flexible, friendly and a lot of fun (good sense of humor). He was more than a guide for us, he became a friend and we will remember of our time together.  When he said that we would be like a little family at the beginning of our trip, we think that he lived up to it. I took a lot of photos during the trip and he made me feel comfortable to do so, as well as making excellent suggestions for scenes or angles.

Our itinerary was ideal: we took a while to decide it with you, but it worked very well for us (thank you for your patience and good suggestions). The local guides were excellent and knowledgeable, in every place we needed them: Hammon at Kericho (visit of a tea plantation and factory), Evarastus and his trainee Austin at Lake Victoria, Charles for the walk in the nearby hills, Nicolas in Kakamega Rain Forest (three walks).

All the visits were excellent, some even spectacular, like Samburu Reserve. The idea of staying at least two days at the same place was really good for us: we could make the most of our accommodation that way. We also enjoyed having time to relax most days. The meals were very good, some even excellent.

In all, it was a wonderful experience and we thank you, Daniel and the different guides for making it a success. We will be happy to recommend your services to our friends.

……..We had an amazing time- thank you so much for organizing a fantastic trip for us, being so patient and providing us with one of the best drivers possible- it couldn’t have been much better.

If you ever have clients that want to talk with previous clients about how wonderful their experience was, please send them my way!

I will do my best to promote your company in America and send you additional business. We certainly hope to organize another trip with more family and friends in the future.

All the best,

Asta & Harriett, USA

……We really enjoyed our safari and have nothing but praise for Nicholas (guide), Sam (cook) and Sam (driver), for whom nothing was too much trouble, and who undertook their responsibilities with great enthusiasm.  Added to that we really enjoyed their company.

The programme was varied and interesting, and the places we stayed were good, particularly where we stayed at near Lake Naivasha, and the visit to Maji Moto. I liked the school there best.

We would definitely recommend Impact Adventure to others,

All good wishes to Nicholas, Sam and Sam.

Dear Daniel, Thank you for the opportunity to follow up on our 9-day Aberdare and Mt Kenya trek. I am back in the states and have been telling anyone who asks about the trek experience. I believe I have even convinced some who were planning a trip to Africa next year to go to Mt Kenya rather than to Kilimanjaro! I have forwarded your contact and webpage to them.

I am not able to come up with any criticisms of our trek. Everything was very satisfactory, from initial communication and information to the actual trip. You have a good crew working for you and I highly commend Patrick’s skills at cooking us delicious, nutritious and well balanced (and filling!) meals. Cyrus was a capable and patient guide, as we would wander off to take yet more pictures. He imparted good information that helped me understand more about the flora, the fauna, natural and social history of the area. The porters were an efficient team and very pleasant to share company with. The trek itself was simply the most amazing experience for me, a highlight of my life. It was extra special that Cyrus, Weldon and I were the only people on the summit of Point Lenana the morning we summited. However I also find that lamentable as more people should experience this magnificent place as well! I’ll do my best to make that happen.

Again, many thanks for arranging this trek and putting all the pieces in place for us.

……. Overall we had a great time! Sam was a fabulous driver and great guide.

Our hotel in Nairobi, the Heron Portico, was good with modern and clean rooms and hot showers, friendly staff and good facilities including the pool, gym, wifi and good restaurant.

The Nakuru Lodge was excellent, good modern rooms with hot showers and a view overlooking a field with animals and the lake. Also friendly staff, a good pool, great food and wifi. No turn down service at night. My friend (who was so sore and tired from the driving in Masai Mara) didn’t go on the game drive, but enjoyed all the animals visiting in front of the restaurant. It was a pity we weren’t told most of the flamingoes had left, but we enjoyed the other animals including rhino.

The Amboseli Lodge was also excellent, good modern tents with hot showers and a view overlooking Mt Kilimanjaro. Also friendly staff, a good pool, good food and great African natural ambience and gardens. However no proper mosquito nets, a serious omission. The National park was only a few minutes away and we saw lots of animals.

Thanks so much for organizing this. We had a great time!

……..Our trip was absolutely excellent.  Sam was an incredible guide, was very attentive to our desires, was knowledgeable, patient, flexible, and basically everything we could have asked for.  In almost every way, the safari exceeded our expectations, and so I believe that you, and Sam specifically, are to be praised.  Harper not only got to see two cheetahs, but we even happened to see a cheetah cub with its mother that was about a week old.  That was absolutely the highlight for us, and left Harper extremely excited.  Thanks again for your work.  We will definitely be recommending Impact Adventure Travel to anyone we hear is looking for a safari company.

Thanks again!

Hi Daniel, I wanted to let you know what a fabulous time we had on our week long safari through Kenya with Impact Adventure. The itinerary mixing wildlife and cultural experiences was spot on, but what really set the trip apart was the team you put together to accompany us. Nicholas’ vast knowledge as our guide and boundless enthusiasm was infectious, and we came away with a much greater understanding and appreciation for all things Kenyan. Steve’s calm driving assured us that even when surrounded by chaos, we would reach our next destination safe and sound. And Sam’s lovely cooking has required us to undergo a post-safari diet to shed the pounds resulting from all of the fantastic meals.  The consistent theme across all three gentlemen was their positive attitude. When unexpected surprises would occur, as they are bound to on safari, they would each pitch in to make sure we still had a positive experience.  At the end of the week, we were sad to have to say goodbye. Thanks to you, Nicholas, Steve, and Sam for providing us with such a great experience in Kenya!

Tristan and Bekah, USA

Ciao Daniel!

The Safari was great and also the driver Sam was very good, patient and helpful.

The best park was obviously Masai Mara but the best tented camp was certainly Kibo Safari Camp (that I would suggest to everybody).

The food was also very good. I really enjoyed everything and also Joseph was very helpful and well prepared for the Italian part of the organization. I will be in touch with him.

Hi Daniel

We had a great safari. I’ve done safaris in 4 other countries including Uganda and I have to say that this one was the absolute best. I don’t think I will ever go on another one now because I don’t see how we could have that luck again. Our guide driver, David, was great. He was always so knowledgeable and tried hard all the time. I just hope he didn’t find the fact that we don’t talk much to be difficult. We were both tired from all the work we had been doing in Uganda prior to the safari and David Harris doesn’t talk much anyway! The hotels were all good.

So thank you very much for arranging it for us and if ever anyone asks me who to go through I will recommend you.

Ann Chawner, UK

Hi Daniel,

We are home and getting back to work and routines again. Africa is amazing and so are the people. When I reflect back and look at pictures I am reminded of the excellent care and guidance we received from your team. I wanted to let you know that Kenya was the overall the best part for me.

Nicholas is very knowledgeable and took every opportunity to share this with us. He is kind, patient and very professional. I would like to say that the drivers Francis and Richard were accommodating. They also shared a wealth of information on where we were going, people we seen and visited, Swahili language and customs. Their job description as drivers is understated.

Our cook Patrick, we could not have had a better cook and mentor. He is the kindest soul I met in Africa. Everything about him is genuine, he always made sure our needs were met and always waited at meal times to attend to our requests. He was never difficult to find. Patrick was also instrumental on our summit day on Mount Kenya, he led our group to the summit, and with Cyrus allowed our group to climb at 7.30 in the morning.

I want to thank you for picking this team to lead us through Kenya, from guides to the porters, everyone works really hard and the service they provide made me feel welcome, safe and completely taken care of.

For the remainder of our journey through Africa I couldn’t help but compare my experience to Kenya, and your team exceeds them all!

Please share this “thank You” to everyone on my behalf and if you request I will send some pictures for you all to remember.

Thank you all so much.
